Pretty funny idea!

I thought this was a pretty cool idea when I watched it, the testimonial of the man in prison made me laugh hard. I liked the voices and the effort that you had put into the characters lip synching animations, but was a little let down by the lack of colour and other background elements throughout the movie. I feel that this would have been significantly better if you had even went to the trouble of colouring the character's clothes in and added some simple backdrops to a lot of the scenes, but that doesn't detract from the funny in this animation: it just makes it more cosmetically appealing. ;)

Hope you keep working hard at it and nice work!

JKSSN responds:

Thankyou! I really want to make it simple, but since its a let down...
im gonna make my animation art better... but that's gonna take a long time making because I suck at drawing...
Thanks for the tips, pretty useful!

Sweet!

I'll admit that I've never played the game before, but found it very entertaining nonetheless.

Funny expressions and voices, coupled with some great animation, you made it accessible to everyone, which was fantastic.

The camp "Boom! <3" bit and the transexual robot (?) were definite lol moments for me, and it was good of you to poke fun at Kojima's "weird for the sake of weird" aspect in his games.

Love how it turned out, congratulations, and I hope to see this on the front page and with a Daily 1st sometime tomorrow! ;)

Cheers!

Galneda responds:

Like I told Murad136, I accomplished my goals in finishing this thing and it receiving a higher score than my crappy Flash Test. As far as I'm concerned that, coupled with these great reviews I'm getting, is making me a happy dude.

Glad you enjoyed it, man! Thanks!

SURPRISE REVIEW TIME.

I keep on having to remind myself to review your latest movies and everyday I choose not to do so, I rip off a fingernail.

So lets see, starts off with a nice bit of FBF, which reminded me a good bit about your submission in the Doodle Collab. The music suits it and it's a nifty wee bit.

At first I thought it would have been entirely experimental, but I was both surprised and amused to see you do your cartoon thing which incorporates real life problems with funny voices and bizarre humour. :P

Then there was some Durr Darr Derrs (POOL PARTY?) and shit, and then the giant octopus thing with the kick ass music (what's the name of the song?).

So yeah, I'm glad I stopped by on this and gave it a look. And because I've practically told everyone what happens, they don't have to watch it now D:

lol, kidding on and good work. I'd better check your other new things out before I turn to my toenails. :(

Mechabloby responds:

i've already got your toenails they're yellow by coldplay

Nice engine!

What you need to do is think of some interesting modes.

I have an idea for two of them.

1) Hit as many as you can in 60 seconds.
2) Don't let the total number of balls on screen exceed 10 or so.

You need to include music in your game and have it run on a smoother FPS. Perhaps think about improving some of the visual effects as well, they could be improved upon.

I'm looking forward to the finished result. B)

I see that you've put more effort into it.

The rain effect is quite nice, and you've created a terrific atmosphere throughout the game. I liked it.

However, two things that greatly annoyed me. First of all, it was difficult to navigate. When you wanted to get somewhere in a rush you found yourself going back and forth because all the arrows look the same and it does not notify you where you are going. Pretty frustrating, but I could handle it.

Secondly, when you decide to select 'the truth', you get one of those awful sounds commonly featured in 'screamers'. That was pretty annoying, and was followed by "Curiosity killed the cat", a cliché that does not fit in with the rest of the script.

Also, some of the pictures look similar to those used in 'Dared To Rock'.

Apart from these annoying flaws, I do agree that this is one of your better creations. If only you spent as much time on all of your work...>.<

Well, good luck, and I hope it makes front page. :D

Mechabloby responds:

First of all, I agree with the buttons. I may go over that in a bit. We'll see. Also, that cliché line does fit with the rest of the story - I was trying to make politics sound more... disturbing....

And the pictures are the same as they are from 'Dared To Rock'. Same series, same images. :P

Thanks for the support and you're the third person who has said this should get front page. o:

Very little effort has been put into this.

I was expecting visualisations and such, but all I see is the four songs navigated by arrows. I would use WM Player to do that sort of thing anyway.

If you wanted to make a good media player, then add visualisations with the aid of ActionScript, and other features that allow you stop, pause, and play the music.

Ash4792 responds:

yeah, i could do a pause button and stuff i spose. i did play around with a few visual effects, but none of them seemed to work.

I remember this :P

I found the original one from 2007 on my memory stick earlier this week. This is a definite improvement from the original though!

I like the beat...

...but I have to agree with Shikamarana, the last beat does kind of fuck up the whole beat. The beat itself is bouncy, has a good amount of bass in it, and gets kind of catchy after a while.

2/5, 5/10.

Little-Rena responds:

Uh yeah, I was testing the program I got out mostly.

It's hard to get into.

I didn't like it. It just sounded like you threw lots of silly sound effects and tried to make a beat out of it. It was pretty dull, and kind of annoying too. >:(

Maybe if you cut down on some of the silly sound effects, try add an actual harmony, then it may have been a wee bit better.

1/5, 3/10.

You can do better.

Little-Rena responds:

I can't do better with a free program and a sound recorder, so yeah. I tried to time the sound effects into it in a way that wouldn't sound harsh.

You gave Tails a T-shirt.

Where is the artistic creativity in that? You painted pixels over a sprite ripped from a Sonic game in MSPaint and gave him a T-shirt. That's like me drawing a hat on the Mona Lisa and saying it's my own version of her. There is very little creativity or talent shown here. Upload something original and entirely of your own creation next time.

Taruno responds:

wtf are you,the art police? I do edits and recolors. that's my thing. so if you're gonna be an ass about it, why don't you try to make me delete it?

Oh wow...

This is unsettling. I've been staring at this thing for minutes now. Not even for thinking of what score to give it, just...staring. I'm near entranced by that bloody grin and gaze, and all that shadow enveloping his bright coloured body is very spooky.

Dude, I used to love watching him on TV as a kid, but you've really made a monster out of him. D:

...anything that provokes this sort of reaction is DEFINITELY worth 5/5.
Excellent work!

Galneda responds:

Ha! You have no idea how much that flatters me. I appreciate and thank you for the review!
